Objectives

The VPCRC’s objectives are to:
•     provide financial resources to facilities capable of undertaking prostate cancer research
•     undertake research into prostate cancer, which will enhance the understanding of prostate cancer that assist in
      the detection, prevention, treatment or cure
•     apply this knowledge in a practical way, leading to the development of new and better diagnostic tools and
      treatment methods
•     facilitate clinical trials in the area
•     unify prostate cancer research groups and treatment in the state, and
•     develop and distribute research and educational materials.
